We had a WOW TCG and now we have a Starcraft board game. Thinking about it, I’m much more interested in a strategic board game… Here’s the details:

As i heard that a starcraft 2 game was on development, i was shock at just hearing of it.
And why shouldn’t i? Heck, almost 10 years perharps? Has pass since the last starcraft game was release and at that time, starcraft was one of the most best RTS game ever.
I like the most of the three race are the terran next are the zerg then lastly the protoss.
I hate protoss for their expensive units and buildings i also hate those pylon rules that without it your building will go offline.
Also on the zerg, is about their creep rule, without it you cant build.
I just love terrans for their verstatility and balance in defence and offense.
I heard that starcraft 2 will be release on 2008, is it true?
Can’t wait till it will be release!! And get my hands on thos seige tanks..!!

I’ve actually had a chance to play the board game and actually found it pretty entertaining. Firstly, it is VASTLY different from the PC game. Rather than focus on specific areas, this seems to be the zoomed-back, strategic version. The board game rewards careful, slow planning rather that insanely fast clicking. Battles are more drawn out and you can spend an entire turn just to capture one more world. And with an average play time of 3-4 hours, it’s not for the impatient. Multiple victory conditions do speed it up quite a bit, though. All in all, a damn fine board game with lots of nifty little peices, but let’s just say I’m glad I wasn’t the one who dropped $80 on it

I never played the board game but on first glance i would find it a waste of time.. only useful for the hardcore sc2 when the power if out and he/she cant play the game on computer. it kinda reminds me of pokemon card games and bayblade which all were great for a total of 1 week then left behind your bed to gather dust..
