Starcraft 2 release date confirmed
Blizzard’s Executive VP – Rob Pardo – has confirmed officially what we feared: Starcraft’s release date is not on the calendar for 2008!
Rob said that the release date has been set for 2009 because the development is still not over. So forget even about beta. He said they’re done with about 1/3 of the single player campaign and that they’re focusing on the story and the cinematics now.

To the guy previous, you are retarded to have bought a new computer for a game that wasn’t confirmed to come out yet, or already out yet. I feel bad for your future offspring, as they will clearly be at a disadvantage.
As for my comment regarding this, fuck the cinematics I want gameplay.

I don’t really cre about cinematics, but it does help you stay with the storyline. Plus, Blizzard always have had cool cinematics on their games. I wouldn’t wanna play a game that doesn’t make any damn sense, like some of those stupid, early playstation games.

A few reasons to BOYCOTT Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty!
I. The development of StarCraft II was announced on May 19, 2007, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Seoul, South Korea. Blizzard set a release date for the first public beta to summer 2009, but failed to make the release date. StarCraft II is being developed, under the codename Medusa, for concurrent release on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Blizzard has not yet announced a release date. Development on the game, initially delayed for a year by the temporary reassignment of Blizzard’s resources to World of Warcraft, began in 2003, shortly after Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne was released. According to Rob Pardo and Chris Sigaty, development for StarCraft II was put on hold for a year in 2005 due to the assistance needed for World of Warcraft.
II. Rob Pardo indicated in a June interview that LAN support would not be included in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. Removing LAN has the effect of forcing players to connect through Blizzard’s servers, Battle.net, before playing multiplayer locally.
III. At the June 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational, Blizzard Executive Vice President Rob Pardo was quoted as saying that development of the campaign was one-third complete. He also said that Starcraft II is to be released as a trilogy of games, starting with Wings of Liberty, focused on the Terrans, followed by Heart of the Swarm, revolving around the Zerg, and finally Legacy of the Void, devoted to the Protoss. – Consider the fact that we still waiting over 6 years for the SC2: Wings of Liberty, this means that the other two will be released in 2022…
IV. The blizzard make fun of us!
THE CONCLUSION: Just fuck them be a MAN!
