From what I can tell General Computers are a Chinese company with offices in the US (or it’s the other way around). They are coming out with a MMO called Twilight War : After the Fall.
I’m not sure HOW they have secured World of Diablo but it seems pretty obvious they plan to use it for a MMO. It could explain why Blizzard started buying all the Diablo 3 domains they could find!
Sure, it could be the name of a new MMO, although I think it’s more probable that it’s the name of a new Battle.net thing for Diablo 3. Atleast I hope so, I really wan’t to be able to play D3 single

I absolutely love the diablo series of games… I’ve read all the books and loved them. The diablo story line is concrete and opens many posibilities for movies and hopefully a “Diablo 3″!

They better not make a fucking Diablo MMOG, I mean… Come on, I’m subscribed to WoW at the moment… Sure, brilliant game, but I know that if they make a Diablo MMO, that they will put monthly fees on it. I just want to be able to get Diablo III when it comes out, play it both online and offline (hopefully with character transfer this time & no character expiration dates xP). But anyway… If you guys want a Diablo MMO, then just hope for some special internet features in the Battle.Net part… I can tell you now, Diablo would suck as an MMO, stick to good ol’ RPG! A good example of what I’m talking about is Neverwinter Nights… If any of you have ever played that, it has a feature where you can join hosted servers online, import your offline character onto them and play with other people. I wouldn’t mind that on Diablo III. But come on guys, have a think over… Would you want to be paying £9 / $18+ a month just to play what used to be a free to play game? I just want to buy the game, sure, even if I have to pay £40-£50 / $80-$100, I’d still buy it. Just no monthly fees, keep Diablo the good game it’s always been, also keep the great story line, that’s probably one of the best things about it… The unforgettable story line. You will find that they are looking for designers for a top secret project(known as Hydra). I believe it will be a diablo mmorpg. The opportunities almost all begin with a “Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Diablo and Diablo II, is looking for a..”. It’s not Star craft because a lot of the applications ask for a foundation in traditional arts and natural environment (ruling out Star craft)

To Lemonz. You obviously haven’t thought this through. I possible Diablo MMO would have ZERO competition. Only THQ’s Titan Quest has delved into the ARPG genre (did quite well I believe), however.. it was overshadowed by the overwhelming success of Diablo and didn’t make as much money as it deserved. This mean that a Diablo MMO is going to be a huge hit. It wouldn’t even be worth the time to debate, if Blizzard makes a Diablo MMO, it will rake in more subscribers and more money than WoW.
Yes, millions upon millions of people would pay $15-$20 a month to play a Diablo MMO. A game will a real PvP mindset, a huge world of superspawning creatures to hack and slash through with your buddies and a thousand other players. Full with professions and a wide array of balanced classes. A way to sell and buy your randomly generated loot, other than joining server after server to finally find the missing piece to your powerword, only in hopes that they actually need something that you have in trade. A seemless isometric world would work just as well as your generic 3rd person 3D world. You obviously don’t know much about Diablo fans if you don’t think people would pay for this.
I’ve been hoping for a the first hack and slash MMO to released. By anyone! And if Blizzard could do it right, I’d be even happier knowing that it’s a Diablo game. It’s the next logical step. They did it with Warcraft. They’ll do it with Diablo. Then after someone shows that they can make a half decent space MMO, they’ll take that companies successes and create a Starcraft MMO.
Activision really leaves me wondering though, it kind of throws a monkey wrench into Blizzard staying with their IP’s.. or maybe not.

battle net shud stay free, so far the expirience has been great and they shouldnt change an already great thing. THey shud leave single play and multiplayer and more important leave battlenet FREE
