Now, this is the first time I hear about Torchlight, thanks to Shacknews. One look at the screenshot and I could swear it’s very Diablo-esque.

Turns out the team has some Blizzard North veterans like Peter Hu; Erich and Max Schaefer, and some artists. The best piece of news? You don’t have to wait till 2011 to play it. It’ll be on Steam in 5 days!

Hey how come you only know now? It’s been around for a month now. I’ve been waiting since then to lessen my craving for diablo. But i don’t expect much from it. It just too much like fate to me. FATE with new graphic combined with Mythos. Torchlight have only one town, start to end. We will see next week!
Yeah, it’s single player only, that’s right. I read Peter Hu claiming it comes with a modkit that’s very powerful though, so they expect a ton of mods to appear. I’ll probably be downloading it in a day or two!
Oh right! I forgot they give their editor along with the game. They said that this editor is the same one they using for the game level design, quest and all. If it’s good enough, lot of mods gonna come out. We will see the game review next week, soon enough.
