Blizzard have finally revealed the third Diablo 3 character – a Wizard. As far as I can tell from the gameplay video and the class description, it looks like a copy&paste of the good ole Diablo 2 Sorceress.
The Wizard skills revealed thus far are:
- Disintegrate – constant ray of energy going through multiple enemies
- Electrocute – chain lightning
- Teleport – blink about half a screen away
- Magic Missile – single target damage spell
- Slow Time – creates a sphere that slows down projectiles (very similar to the Protoss Mothership skill)

dude, his dmg is fuckin underpowered, chain lightning used to do kickass dmg, here is like weaker than polyfoam. way too defensive a class, with that bs time stopper. wizzard classes should be offensive dps, in every damn rpg its that way and i think that rule should not be altered
BLIZZ, MAKE HIM DO MORE FUCKIN DMG!!!! (and get rid of the time stopper, its kinda over powered, especialy on boses the likes of Andariel)
Kain, I hope Blizzard will fine tune the power of the spells. My guess is these are lvl 1 versions.
I totally agree that wizard/sorceress is a NUKE class. It’s supposed to unleash ranged and AOE damage like no other. The obvious downside is that it has much less survivability.
I think the BUBBLE (time stop) is probably needed. Imagine 10 missiles hitting you, if your HP are as low as they should be. In previous versions, we had the Mana shield – I like this one a bit better. It’s active and requires you to dodge
u have a point there man, but after seeing the gp vids of the barb and the witch doc, i was really exited about the sorcerer. i was expecting a glass cannon of some sort, i was just really disappointed, that’s all. (note my bad language) he isn’t a bad class, just not what i expected. and u could be right in saying it was a lvl 1. anyhow, in most rpg’s i go with the melee dps type so i shouldn’t really bother me so much.
but i still think your “bubble” should be out of the picture. something like frost nova sounds reasonable, slowing down the attack speed, but this bubble thing is a bit too slow. (damn i wish there was a downloadable demo, mabye then i could give some proper feedback.)
but still, thanks Mr.diablo. your opinion has changed my veiw of things.

make the spells more powerful last game even at low lvls the sorc’s spells kicked motherfucking ass and the time stopper is awesome but a little gay. u could just sit in one and everything that comes at u u will b able to doge so in a duel that would be so fucking gay u would hav to kill them b4 they even got a chance to do anything
