As we continuously monitor for Diablo 3 related job openings at Blizzard, here’s our latest find:
The team behind Diablo I and II is looking for an artist specializing in the creation of user interface art. This artist will create such things as in-game background screens, UI containers/borders, item icons, character portraits, etc. The ideal candidate has strong painting skills, the ability to adapt their style, and feels comfortable working in a team environment.
That comes directly off Blizzard’s site. A while back there was the ad for an Diablo 3 Art Director, now this one.

I have been looking for a good Diablo site like this for a long time. Thank you!
Remember, D2 was post-poned a number of times. It’s original release came and went 2 years before it actually came out. And with the difference between 1 and 2, the expectations for 3 are quite high. Blizzard is probably keeping this a secret, both to create a truly worthy part 3, and to drive the sales through the roof.
