Boy, I’m a pissed off today!
It’s not just the rumors that Blizzard will announce Starcraft 2 in three weeks in Korea. Obviously, if Blizzard announce Starcraft 2 this puts Diablo 3 on the backburner for an year if not longer.
It’s not even Rob Pardo’s interview (that’s WoW’s game designer), where he explains how they have a commitment to keep the WoW money machine going by doing an expansion every year. No such commitment to Diablo, thank you very much!
It’s the OVERALL feeling that Blizzard have sold out. Money – good. You probably still remember that animation – Money good, Napster bad – from Camp Chaos.
Blizzard have become the gorilla in the room – catering to the millions of casual gamers (not to mention Chinese farmers!) and forgetting about the hardcore players who have built their franchises.
For God’s sake, there are tens of thousands of players who play Diablo 2 till this day and who who have been praying for a sequel since 2001! Say it ain’t so.
well they got money, they like money so they must make top selling games… thats what we want after all, if d3 is not announced at WWI then we might get a chance at blizzcon, but on http://wwi.blizzard.co.kr , the intro seems like it might be a new franchise or well a sequel to…wed unt know

Its not just blizzard, seems like everything in the game industry is about making more money. Giant corpos incorporating little creative teams and kill everything real after a year or two. 20 years ago it was about the idea now its about business and we have buggy semi-pseudo-hiper-photorealistic stuff with under-the-belt gameplay experience.
All mankind’s weakness is their greed.

Hellgate London can be a terrific game but frankly I’m a Diablo fan. I don’t particularly like when you mix fantasy with sci-fi. Hacking with a sword is cooler than shooting a laser… personally more fulfilling anyway!
I pray for diablo III to be released soon. I am one of the aformentioned DII players since 2001 and love the game in every aspect. The only thing that I will curse is what I believe everyone is implying, that blizz will start charging to use B.net. I must say, if they do start to do this, they will not get my money as I refuse to pay a monthly fee when gameplay in general is hampered by online play. I just pray for their sakes they don’t try to pull this crap because I feel most people are on the same boat as I am……

If you go to http://www.sonsofthestorm.com/gallery_raneman.html you can see Diablo concept sketches from 2005/2006. This probably means Diablo 3 is under development…
those pics are from the trilogy books of diablo, but the writer of those books said in a interview last year that blizz were very eager to make diablo fans happy so i hope it means diablo 3 …
Hey I have been a die hard Diablo Fan since the Original Came out in the 1990’s. They need to stop with the WOW crap and give the other genre a shot! Diablo 3 would sell like hot cakes! I would like to see them make a PC and a Mac Version for the launch it would incompass more of the population and give new life to both OS’s. Back in 2001 when Diablo 2 Exp release i spent sooo much time on that game, it was really hard to roll your computer seat away from it. Also I think that they should keep the same 8 online player set up, too many people get distracting, YEA i am talking to you Necromancers! Blizzard Just Make the Damn Game….7 years with out one is just upsetting!
As for the original poster: They aren’t changing it every hour, they change it everyday. Notice how there’s enough free spaces until the question mark until the announcement in Korea. =) Pllllllleeeeeaaaaasssseeeeeeeee be Diablo 3. That’s my hope.
Yeah and what about those who waited for a sequel to SC. They waited long too. Now we’ll have it but don’t get cocky because you don’t get D3 any soon. You all know Blizzard. Just think about SC:Ghost. Will we get it? The time isn’t coming soon. With WoW, I think making D3 would be overkill, not to mention those who think it will be MMO… Get to reality, it would be overkill! With all of Blizzard’s working title, you’ll have to wait long before D3 comes out, especially this one over SC and WC.
