While we’re sitting here wondering if Diablo 3 will ever come out, Bill Roper and company are working hard on their version of Diablo – Hellgate London.
The game is scheduled for release in early 2007. Here’s one of the classes that premiered at E3: a Cabalist.
Hellgate’s gameplay seems quite similar to Diablo as well. And this one looks like a Diablo sorceress to me.
Around my home state rumors have been flying eveywhere, about Diablo3, myself I would like them to kill of diablo so we never see him again, I mean come on Ive killed him twice, its time for a new Evil, as far as character choices, I would include 1.spellcaster 2.paladin 3.summoner of some type 4.and possibley a creat your own hero, such as in Elder Scrolls of Morrowwind-therefore if you were able to make your own, you could play as either good or bad side.
I think there’s a big difference between a WOW-type game and an extension of Diablo 2 in terms of characters.
If Blizzard decides to go for a WOW-type Diablo 3, then we’ll be looking at more or less the same characters that populate all online rpgs: warrior, ranger, rogue, sorceress, healer and all the hybrids.
If Blizzard changes their mind and makes Diablo 3 an extention (sequel) to Diablo 2, then we’ll be seeing a lot MORE varierty in the characters department.

I sincerely hope that Diablo 3 comes out soon, and does not end up like WoW. I personally can’t stand Wow. We need to keep the Diablo sequels running, and not conform to the type of gameplay of WoW. There are loyal gamers like me who love diablo for what it is…KEEP IT PURE, KEEP IT ORIGIONAL.
I dont think that D3 should be anything like marrowind i think it should stay to the old boundaries but have the apperances more unique through armor and wepon sets so it would kind of be like morrowind because of the items that you use also there should be the set items like in the old D2 and some new ones
I think that D3 should be like a sequal to D2 in a way that its NOT WoW. I cant stand WoW i D3 should be more of what it used to be and what it is now. There are people who love the diablo series, myself included, and i think that if they keep to it like diablo and not have any influence from WoW it would be alot better.
It came out today. Hate the 3d first-person shooter feel to it, but I can’t really judge the game until I get to play it.
I loved D1,and D2.Been forever waiting for D3.I still play both of the 1st ones…lol.I dont think D3 should be like anyother Game out there.And it should have as much change init fromD2 as D2 had From D3.Just make it good fast and hard.
diablo and d2 were amazing although after playing d2 i never wanna go back to diablo 1.
i cant stand waiting 4 news on diablo 3 and i think it will be crazy good even campaired to d2.

If D3 had a character system like WoW there would be no ends to the possible outcomes for your charatcers but on the flip side it would ruin it, keep the normal character system and make more characters for more choices but don’t let players go out on their own character making. Plus don’t charge for online play, that is a big reason why WoW blows.
I think they should make the “wanderer” a playable character, I really think that would be very interesting, and I think it would be cool if they would have an editor for weapons, armor,ect. like Siege editor on dungeon siege.
i think that d3 should b almost like d2 in the way it is addicting and that players will want 2 keep playin un till they reach the point there the best.

hellgate is supposed to be a sophisticated 1st and 3rd person mmorpg.. diablo in itself was addicting as a 3rd person restriced, highly repetative mmorpg.
i hope the game offers a massive ammount of choices and vast ammount of replayability to the player, either free or subscribed.
then ill play it for quite some time
