My eyes are sore from all the reloading and staring at Blizzard’s new front page!

I’m really hoping Blizzard will announce Diablo 3 on the 18th. It was only a few days ago that everyone was convinced they were going to announce Starcraft 2 in Korea.
Update: How cruel of Blizzard! I’ve asked several people to check the site, they were all seeing Diablo. Now, I go to a wow site and they’re claiming it’s all about warcraft. And they have this image to prove it.
I guess Blizzard is rotating the image every hour or doing some other voodoo just to ensure everyone gets they want!
Man, come on…. Stop dreaming. SC2 will be announced. And, don’t you understand the concept of this splash screen? It’s not about a particular game. It’s about ALL the Blizzard games. And, the splash is updated one a day until May 19th (not 18th). Hey look again, tomorrow it’s going to be a SC splash…
Wow, sorry but the lack of intelligence in your news posts angers me. As the first comment on this news post explains, it is just a timeline of the past blizzard games counting their game releases, one poster per day, up to the newest one which will probably be Starcraft 2 coming to that conclusion useing common sense of course. Just open your eyes past Diablo and look below to the list of games, you can see the WC games already highlighted because they showed those 2 posters the past 2 days.
Then there’s this from your last news post:

Saying something like that is stupid because just as many (actually more I think) hardcore people are still dedicated to Starcraft than Diablo over a longer period of time. Being as Diablo already got its sequel and had the most recent release out of the 2 franchises it’s Starcrafts turn and that would prove the opposite of what you say about blizz forgetting their hardcore players.
Tbh, I have to agree with D/S Fan. However, it would still be very nice to see Diablo 3 coming, especially if you’re way more into Diablo than SC. On diablo3.com, some suggestions about “blizz might try to throw us off” could sound insignificant, but fact is (history has proven it) u never know with blizzard…
I’m hoping for Diablo, there’s always a chance. I mean, might even be we’ll see another Warcraft announcement or maybe something entirely new. But I’ll be glad for SC fans.

I must admit I’m a bit baffled as to what exactly Starcraft 2 could bring to the table… 3D? Big deal. Heroes? Warcraft 3 has them.
Diablo on the other hand is something that definitely can be expanded. A 3D look for the Diablo franchise, especially one taking advantage of DirectX 10, will be huge. Imagine fighting a Diablo that’s 10 stories tall with gorgeous textures and lighting.
The way I see it, Starcraft is the perfect RTS. You cannot add or subtract. You can add to Diablo all day long - new areas, new items, new monsters, etc.
Since blizzard has teased the idea of a new MMO, I’m really hoping its starcraft 2, they can ruin that game. One of the best parts of diablo 1/2 was the way it played, I think an MMO would ruin it entirely, And as to the “Hardcore Fans” People still play starcraft cuz it still has new challenges, diablo 2 hasnt seen a patch in ages, no new game content, and really no love, and as far as im concerned the game died at patch 1.10 when they intruduced “Synergies”.

Diablo 3 I think would be some what related to the fact that the world stone was destroyed bring doom to the plains of maybe earth and heaven, That would be nice. I think if warcraft can have a tri, why cant diablo its way more fun then warcraft is i dont know about WoW though, becuase I never played it. But i stoped thinking of diablo III way back in 2003 :’( And beucase blizzard hates me It probobly will be sc2
Well that settles it. Go to Starcraft2.com and you will see the same countdown that is on Blizzard.com, did you really expect something different? Don’t worry though because Diablo3 should be next in line in development for its chance to get a sequel, unless they just blow that off and make more MMOs or something. :p

As someone else cleverly pointed out earlier, just waut and see, its only 2 more days… By all means, Diablo fans: hope for D3. SC fans: hope for SC2. Love both? Hope for either, as it might even very well be its gonna be something entirely new!!

After reading those quotes I’m acctually not too sure about SC2 anymore. The guys at Blizzard have been sneeky f*ckers before, anything can happen
Let’s hope for the best (although I’m still pretty sure it will be SC2)! The best being Diablo 3 ofcourse.
Still, it doesn’t matter which title they announce, it’ll take one year before beta testing starts and the release date will be pushed forward until the end of 2009 or later.
I think that starcraft is going to be awesome and I hope that Diablo three comes out so it could be a good continue to another set of great rpg’s

Diablo 2 is the coolest game i have ever played and will be expecting more to come … eager to know about diablo part 3…especially the story and the monsters in it
Blizzard fired all the D2 employees the day after the 1.11 patch was released. They were working on a D3 disk at that time and Uber Tristram was supposed to provide a portal into that disk via the SOH (standard of heros). D2 is dead, blizzards main concern is making money, to the tune of $120 million dollars a month on WOW alone. As for the fired D2 employees they created Vanguard: Saga of heros. If you think they’re gonna make a new version of this anceint game I has stock in the Brooklyn Bridge i’ll sell you cheap.
As far as expanding Diablo? It was in the works to make it MMO like WOW and they pulled the plug because it wasn’t cost effective to make it a reality. It was in Alpha for almost a year and they scrapped it before it went to beta because it cost too much money. The reason people still play D2 s because it’s free. The second it goes to MMO and they charge $15.00 dollars a month like they do with WOW all the loyal fans will abandon ship. So keep dreaming about D3, thats about all you’re ever going to see of it.
