You get an email the second Blizzard announce the Diablo 3 beta.
Blizzard has opened the floodgates! A few dozen screenshots have been released thus far and here’s the ones that I found most interesting. Be sure to check the official Diablo 3 announcement too.

To my mind the design outside should be quite the same like it is in the gameplaymovie, because it really looks great
BUT when it comes to dungeons (and bosses) it is a MUST that they stick to typical “diablo colours” because this is very important for the atmosphere
so you can still have a big variety of ambiences

The witch doctor isn’t the new sorceress. It has zombie wall, which is an offensive bone wall (a necro skill), Soul leech (the skill pictured) or something like that, a skill to summon undead mongrels (uber necro), a skill that shoots locusts (uber necro), a skill that throws a steampunk incendiary device, mass confusion (a current necro skill, confuse), and horrify (a current necro skill with an alias)

take us back to D1..that game still gives me the chills playing it and that is how it’s meant to be played.
any1 know when its cming out and if their keeping the sorc zon druid etc????
all i know is that the amazon class will have to be removed because of the new “Gender Pick” option, an Amazon is meant to be a female so thats basically all that can be taken from the information given so far, other than the necro.
Naturally amazon wouldn’t be allowed in the form that it was known (and by a few, loved) as, but rejoice; there is a chance that they’ll just change a minor detail or two to make a near-exact amazon class with gender options.
i think the other 3 classes will be a archer/jav of somesort, a sorc and the last will be pala/monk of somesort..
seeing how the witch doctor can summon creature..its prob a combi of druid and necro
i reakon they should bring back the stone spell from D1… cursing ppl into stones

Guys If you go google D3 and go to some of the sites and forums you will find out that except for the Barb all old classes will be thrown out the window. The reason for this was that they didn’t want to much overlap with the classes like in WOW
GUYS This is Blizzard’s game. Stop thinking of it as your private property. They can do whatever they want to it and you will still buy it. D2 was made released 1999-2000 They had a choice of crappy 3d or good 2d pixels they chose 2d pixels. 2008 they have a choice of really good 3d or extremely outdated 2d pixels. They chose 3d.
Color. 1999 250 different colors. 2008 2500 different colors. Much more color choice. Casual gamers perfer the new color. Guess who makes up most of the buyers? The casual gamers. Old color and graphics = ultra purists buying casual gamers not. low sales game dies. New color and graphics = fusion of ultra purists buying AND casual gamers buying. Sales though the roof everyones happy except for whiners but no one cares what they think anyway.

dang savior, tear it up. lol. anyways, remember the people that created diablo (1&2) left blizzard and became their own company (i dont know if i am allowed to say their new company name on here, so i just wont). so this is blizzard creating this game without the original people. it looks bad ass, but it’s not going to be the same.

The covers of Diablo 1 and 2 look really cool yet the game isn’t as good as most people think. Im glad they changed the logo and cover for Diablo 3 it will be awsome.

Look at the previous games, both where EXTREMLY good, what makes you think this one wont be as popular, i can tell you id buy this game even if it had the graphics of the first Diablo….
Honestly, graphics makes the game look great and all, but you got to look at the storyline and what the new features are that will make it great….
Id go for a better storyline more enjoyable gameplay over graphics anyday.

I would be the most consernd about hackers but allow privet severs bcuz u should have a idea about it so u can lvl fast and b able 2 c stuff in the game without whasting your life playing just 2 c the last boss 2 die

I think I will enjoy this game coming out, but yet at the same time I don’t feel it should be named diablo 3. It is nothing what it sould be in that sense. Just cause they keep diablo, meph and baal and made by (not to mention differnet people then the first two) blizzard this game dosen’t have its dark sense. I agree with the 3d and the colors(not those that come from an axe or melee weapon) and graphics, at the same time they could of done it with a little consideration towards the makers of the first two!

i was just wondering, i saw the diablo 3 video/trailer and i noticed something tight, so i paused the screen and i swear when i show diablo aka big D, lol, i swear to god it looks like its diablo, mephesto, and baal all together, like they were all one creature. so my question is are they all one creature or am i a stupid noob and dont know jack.
for the record i think a diablo baal meph boss would be as sick as it gets so im cool with that.
