Frankly, I’m not too crazy about anything with this game at all. I really wanted to see this first-hand before committing to wasting my money @ retail. I’m glad they sent me an invite for the beta. I’m thoroughly NOT impressed.
But in all fairness, I’ve always thought Blizzard makes some nice cinematics. Come to think of it, their games were good too. Unfortunately, all of that changed with the coming of WoW and Activision.
I have to say I really don’t think I’m going to spend a dime on D3, and it truly pains me to say so because I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for this since LoD came out. Diablo II had an incredible magic to it that has claimed years of my life. To a degree, it still does to this day.
But Diablo III? Meh… Maybe I was expecting too much from a development house that’s neck-deep in WoW cartoon art. Since it’s isometric in camera view, they should’ve just built D3 like the first two Diablo games. Then Blizzard probably would’ve claimed countless more years of my life.
But alas, they’ve turned it into another WoW cartoon. Blizzard has truly disappointed me; the D3 beta has shown me that it’s time to walk away, and I doubt I’ll be looking back. But there is hope, and I’ll save that hope (and money) for The Witcher 3 and Grim Dawn; they can’t be that far away…
Hmm kinda left you wanting, I would’ve liked to have seen the witch doctor or some other class’s back story.
