Diablo 3 and a Nintendo Wiimote

When I mention Diablo (or Diablo 2) to someone, I usually get a response like: “Oh yeah, I remember it… my mouse broke because of it.”

Diablo 3 and a Nintendo WiiDiablo was such a click-fest that I started wondering if we could use something like Nintendo’s wiimote (that’s the Wii remote/controller). Forget PS3!

Then I saw a few pics (and videos) of guys going CRAZY with the wiimote: Smashing lights, windows, and one one guy who actually hit (and destroyed) his 60″ rear-projection TV!

Check out the pic on the right. This guy got lucky and skewered the side of the TV but the TV survived (as did the guy.

So what do you think? Would you like to swing your sword at Diablo while destroying half the house?

    LOL

That’d be SO nice… must say tho, IF they would do such a thing, they’d better do it GOOD. There is WAY more to be expected from Diablo III than WII Sports if u know what i mean. Add these kinda control difficulties to that and you’re facing a major challenge. But…. if anyone can do it… Blizz can!

Only an idiot can’t hold on to a wiimote, i say do, it would be so sweet!!

that would be great to do diablo 3 game play would be better then ever and thats why theres suppose to be a strap at the end 2 wrap it around ur hand so it wont fly when you let it go

I disagree, i think a mouse would have more accuracy than a wii remote. Im not an expert on such things but i guess it depends on the design of how the remote works. holding a remote steady with ur arm extended sounds a little hard to stay accurate. i could be wrong, again it depends on how the remote is designed

Well i think its a kind of good idea gets you involved in the game more.. i personally think. and you have to be a really big idiot or have down syndrome to have your wiimote come flying out of your hands. and plus you dont even need to swing it as hard as most people do who say it goes flying and breaks crap.

I think it would be a good idea to have other mean of game control beside mouse and keyboard. thou, it has worked great in the past, doesn’t mean something new and better shouldn’t be try!! I would like to have a sword or something to used for the game. like the WII control but get geek into shape instead of the fat, or skinny type!! Could do a lot of good

Can’t Logitech or Razor make some kind of Wii sticks for the pc? I don’t own the Wii, I do have an Xbox 360 and a pc. I would like to try this out but I would rather not make a new purchase of another console. I’m not sure but can the Wii sticks be used on a pc? Like the Xbox360 controller can.

D3 should be on PC, and PS3….maybe 360. The Wii does not have the power to make it look good and the remote is lame…at least the other two systems can support a mouse and keyboard!

I think u should just leave diablo 3 on the p.c because most people are youst 2 it bweing on the p.c then if u change its systems then most people wouldent even buy it because they dont want 2 buy a new system a mose 2 buy thats ok but to buy a new t.v thats out rageous

well i think its kind of a good idea but it still has problems cuz diablo 3 would be single player an i think that would get boring an i have played the wii and them gay remotes slip out of ur hand an the strap either breaks or comes off then the remote goes flying

with a wii remote???that be balls…you couldnt play as long, youd get too tired, plus like high roller said, more accurate with a mouse, not a remote
