Thanks to Blizzard’s enterprising spirit (make that licensing IP to get more from merchandise), we now have a gift worthy of Christmas: a Barbarian mousepad.
It’s a bit cheaper than the notorious Barbarian statue of last year – just 15 Euro. The statue was $300, so this mousepad is a total steal… and comes from SteelSeries.
There’s a been a lot of speculation(even on this blog) about Blizzard making another foray into consoles, after the marriage to console-kingpin, Activision.
It’s too early to tell whether the game will be exclusive to Playstation 3 or Xbox (seeing D3 on Wii seems preposterous) or any other console. However, the development has been kicked off and for once, we have official Blizzard confirmation!
As some of you may have seen over on the Diablo III home page, we’re currently exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles. As we’ve said in the past, with proper care the gameplay could suit the console platform, and we’re interested in seeing what talent out there might be interested in contributing to such a project.
To further reiterate what’s posted on the home page: this is not an announcement of a console title. We are first and foremost developing Diablo III for Windows and Mac PCs, and we have no intention of allowing a console interpretation to delay or otherwise affect the release of the game.
OK, ok, so let me get this right. No Diablo 3 for consoles, it will slow down Diablo 3 release. BUT we’ll be seeing another Diablo title for consoles! What’s next? A Diablo movie?!?
We understand the problems with item sets. We want to solve them. Set items are under work now, if we cant’ find a way to solve the problem it won’t be in the game. But we’ve got a couple of ideas on the table and we think it’ll work out.
Whatever Jay is doing, I hope it works. Last time I played, I completed Sigon’s Complete Steel somewhere around level 25. Considering the set has a level requirement of 6, this is something that’s definitely subject to improvement by the Diablo 3 team.
So why am I coming back to the Witch Doctor? Well, for most part, because I just found this HD video of the Witch Doctor in action:
However, as I’m watching it, I’m thinking to myself – here’s an archetype that I don’t want to play … EVER. I felt the same way about the Druid, a Diablo 2 LoD class.
