Diablo Hellfire story
Hellfire's storyline occurs as an aside to the main story arc of the original game. It concerns the powerful demon, Na-Krul. The expansion pack adds an additional monk class, two new dungeon tilesets, additional quests, several extra game items, noticeable buffing to Diablo, and a number of interface improvements.

Hellfire's shortcomings
Hellfire was widely considered a failure by Diablo players. The new levels and monsters were a mish-mash of unrelated concepts and the dark gothic atmosphere of the original game was lost completely. Consider the fact that one of the new enemies in Hellfire resembles a leaping pumpkin with feet and glowing eyes.

Additionally, the new spells were nothing to write home about, ranging from simple modifications to existing spells to unrealistic utility spells such as Search and Warp.

Hidden Hellfire characters
Two additional characters, the Bard and Barbarian, and two additional quests can be enabled with a special text-file edit in the Hellfire installation directory.
