Introducing Jabborate

A few months ago, I joined Bulpros in order to work on a new product.

This product is now a fact – it’s called Jabborate. It adds realtime communications to social, collaboration, and productivity systems: IBM Connections, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP Enterprise Portal.

Diablo 3 Auction House closes down

In just a few hours, the Auction House will be gone. Now, a lot of people will breath a sigh of relief. However, if you do have any items or gold in the Auction, make sure you move them. I have just started Diablo 3 on my office laptop (bypassing the video card settings), so […]

Diablo 3 crusader class

The Diablo 3 expansion, Reaper of Souls, will be out on March 25. The biggest attraction for most will be the additional content (ACTV), the new loot system, and the new levels (up to 70, paragon levels shared across account). For those who’ve enjoyed playing a holy warrior in WoW and D&D, there’s something extra […]

Blizzard has invited the top 3000 Diablo players to join the “family and friends” closed beta of Reaper of Souls, Diablo 3′s expansion. As you might expect, Athene is in and here’s his first impressions of the beta: If you’ve been living under a rock, here’s the feature list for Reaper of Souls: One new […]

Diablo 3 Auction house closing

The Diablo 3 Auction house has been the subject of one or five posts around here. The exploits and errors being just a minor nuicanse. The big issue is that loot drops have been adjusted to reflect the fact that some players (and many bots) will farm 24/7 for items. Which basically means that if […]

Diablo 3 expansion: neither cute, nor deadly

Blizzard announced an expansion to Diablo 3. It will add a fifth act, approximately the size of Act II in Diablo 3. It will also increase level caps from 60 to 70 and remove caps on paragon levels (level 1000?). Oh, and it will add ONE new class – the Crusader, a heavily armored melee […]

Blizzard: cute but deadly

Blizzard has filed for a trademark for the phrase: “cute but deadly.” It will be used on anything from milk bottles to t-shirts. In an unrelated news (ok, it’s kinda related): Blizzard has announced a children’s book: It’s called Snowfight, and it’s currently being written by senior VP of story and franchise development Chris Metzen […]

Diablo 3 console offline play

So it looks like Diablo 3 on consoles will not have a always-online requirement. According to a preview, it lacks Auction Houses, so rare and legendary loot drop rates have been tweaked accordingly, i.e. increased a million times. Money quote: The game feels natural with this new element, like it was always meant to be […]

Diablo 3 director steps down

It was about time too! He will not be missed. I’m not going to argue that Jay Wilson severely disappointed Diablo’s fan base. He did and he knows it. This is an excerpt from his parting message to fans (not HIS fans, fans of Diablo): The powers that be at Blizzard have been gracious enough […]

Diablo 3 item duping

Diablo 3 item duping has been rampant: from Auction House exploits to account rollback. Blizzard is trying to address the issue in its latest round of tweaks to the account rollback feature. Here’s the official announcement from Blizzard: Starting on Tuesday, April 2, all character equipment including weapons and armor restored via the Diablo III [...]

Diablo 3 coming to Playstation

When I first posted that Diablo 3 was dumbed down and targeted at a console release, there were some angry comments. Now Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo is indeed coming out for Playstation as an official announcement:

Diablo 3 Dueling (patch 1.07)

It took Blizzard almost a year to get to patch 1.07 and add some form of PvP. If it wasn’t for their previous news about the PvP Arena being scrapped, I would’ve been happy to try dueling while waiting for “real” PvP action. As it stands, I’ll probably give dueling a go a few times [...]
